"Cutting on Baffin Island"
Concrete cutting just got cool - real cool - in Baffin Island. Four hours airtime straight north from Sudbury, Graff flew men and equipment to the town of Iqaluit to saw cut walls to connect two wings at the local hospital. Did you know that Baffin Island is the largest island in Canada and the fifth largest in the world - one and one half the size of Germany! Situated mostly above the Arctic Circle, the whole island has a population of just over 11,000 people. Not much gridlock here.

"Night or Day Graff's On Site"
Nightwork has become an increasingly large part of our day to day business. With as much as 20% of our crews working nights, scheduling, organizing and problem solving are in constant need to provide the kind of service our customers expect from Graff. Therefore, we have taken the initiative to appoint a Night Manager, Steve Brain, a 15 year veteran of our company. Steve's extensive experience and commitment to customer service will insure we deliver the same level of satisfaction, day or night. This makes us a true 24 hour service company.
No matter what time of day, when it comes to concrete cutting and x-ray, we are ready to meet your needs, each and every day or night.

"We Powered "Green Power"
In the rural Ontario townships of Melancthon and Amaranth, you'll find rows of Hydro Windmills. These 400 foot tall structures make use of wind in the open fields to provide "green power" for a safe and energy efficient supply of hydro electricity.
The Graff Company is proud to have taken part in this project by core drilling the support holes located at the bottom of these structures. The accurate placement and precise drilling of these anchors was instrumental in their design and at over 30 feet deep- quite a challenge.

Grafscan Radar Gets a New Image
Our new Grafscan icon is now a registered trademark…Why a triangle? Because success in "Damage Prevention" requires a trilogy of technically skilled people, a wide array of the latest equipment and the capability to deliver the service. It takes more than just a truck with radar equipment. We know - we've been doing it longer and more frequently than anyone else.
Grafscan is "Damage Prevention." Give us a call for an onsite demonstration

Yorkdale Expansion
Team Graff is proud to have played a large role in the Yorkdale expansion. Canada's most renowned Shopping Center supplemented its grandeur with the addition of an enormous atrium. Over 70 feet wide, 400 feet long and three stories high, the old Eaton's store was essentially cut in half to accommodate the stunning addition. Team Graff's role in the project was to sawcut, remove, crush and break some 70,000 square feet of suspended slab, columns and beams over three floors. The floors were moved using our unique G-Machine, (the Brokk) with the crushing attachment. Load restrictions on slabs prevented the use of any larger equipment.
No other machine could have matched the power of the Brokk in such a compact package. Grafscan provided radar services while the Brokk removed over 800 loads of concrete. Advanced saw cutting was also performed and 'soft' demolition was used to strip out former store interiors and movie theaters. The job showcased all of the many talents and unique equipment that comprise Team Graff.
